For professionals working in power-line inspection, forestry surveys, or emergency response, these challenges may sound familiar:
Carrying a bulky total station through remote forests and mountainous terrain just to establish measurement points.
Looking down at a high-voltage line from a cliff and still feeling uncertain about the actual safety clearance.
Walking back and forth through dense vegetation with a measuring tape just to determine the height of a tree.
Now imagine having a single device that can be operated with one hand, measures distance with a laser in just seconds, and can also calculate height, slope, conductor sag, and area. Wouldn’t that make fieldwork much more efficient?

A standard rangefinder may only measure a simple straight-line distance, while the XR Series features intelligent measurement programs designed to address real-world challenges across multiple industries.
Conductor-to-Ground Height Measurement: No need to climb a tower. Operators can measure the clearance between the conductor and the ground from a safe position and assess whether excessive sag may be affecting line safety.
Sag / Crossing Measurement: When a transmission line crosses a highway or another power line, the device can calculate the minimum vertical distance between the two conductors, helping ensure adequate safety clearance.
Vertical Layer Distance Measurement (VD ML Mode): Measure the vertical height difference between upper and lower conductors, making it useful for inspection of double-circuit transmission lines.
Three-Point Height Measurement (HT Mode): No need to cut down or climb trees. By aiming at the tree base and top, the device can automatically calculate the tree’s height.
Rectangular / Circular Area and Volume Measurement: Measure a defined area quickly and calculate its size. It can also help estimate material or earthwork volumes at storage yards and construction sites.
Identifying Potentially Hazardous Trees: By combining distance and slope measurements, operators can assess whether trees located near power lines could pose a risk if they fall.
Distance Measurement for Landslides and Rockfalls: Non-contact measurement can be used to determine the safety clearance between hazardous areas and nearby residential zones or roads, helping reduce risks to rescue personnel.
One-Touch Speed Measurement (SPD Mode): Monitor the movement speed of landslide masses or falling rocks, providing valuable data for early-warning assessment.
Angle Measurement (INC Mode): Displays inclination angles from -90° to +90°, helping assess slope conditions and support stability monitoring.

Outdoor professionals need equipment that can withstand demanding conditions. The XR Series features IP67 protection, offering protection against dust and temporary immersion in water, while its operating temperature range extends from -20°C to 55°C.
Whether working through harsh winters in northern regions or intense summer heat in the south, the XR Series is designed to maintain stable operation.
Optical System: 8× magnification with BAK9 prisms, combined with a high-transmission LCD display for clear viewing and easy-to-read measurements even in bright outdoor conditions.
Power Supply: Uses a single 18650 rechargeable lithium battery, making replacement convenient in the field. When the battery runs low, simply replace it with a charged one and continue working.
Data Storage: Stores at least 100 sets of measurement data and supports direct export of measurement results via email or WeChat.
